Nature has always inspired us to create artistic works with its indescribable beauty. So it’s no wonder that the unique world of precious stones and minerals also became the template for great art and that its endless variety of colors and shapes served as a design element. Visual artists make the natural treasures tangible for everyone in their works, they conserve their beauty and continue to shape them with their own creativity.
The 2023 special show at the Munich Show is all about this synergy between irreplaceable natural treasures and their effect on and their interpretation by the artistic spirit. Drawings, paintings and sculptures are displayed side by side with the wonderful mineral specimens that served as inspiration for these works. The result is an extraordinary dialogue between works of art that man has created – and those that nature has given us.
